DinkRank ("we") provides a pickleball rating app. This policy describes the data we collect when you create an account and use the mobile app or this website.

Account data

When you sign up we store your email address, password (hashed by our authentication provider, Supabase), first name, last name, and a generated player ID. We use this to identify you, send confirmation and password-reset emails, and show your name to other players in matches and rankings.

Location

Location is optional. If you enter a city, we store the place name plus the centroid latitude and longitude returned by OpenStreetMap Nominatim so other players can filter by area and so we can show a local rank. We do not request GPS or device location permission. Nominatim searches are sent from your device to OpenStreetMap; see the Nominatim usage policy.

Match data

Matches you record include who played, the score, when it was played, and the resulting rating change. Other participants can see those matches. Rated matches remain after account deletion so other players keep an accurate history; the deleted profile is shown as "Deleted Player".

Notifications

If you enable push notifications we store an Expo push token for this device so we can alert you about confirmations, disputes, and rating changes. You can disable categories in the app or revoke permission in system settings.

Diagnostics

Release builds of the mobile app send diagnostics and performance metrics to Expo (EAS Observe), including device and OS details, app version, stack traces, and an anonymous install id, so we can fix bugs and measure startup. We do not send your name or email. Debug builds do not send this data.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or follow the instructions at Delete account. We anonymize your profile, delete push tokens, preferences, inbox rows, and your login, and void pending or disputed matches. Email [email protected] if you cannot use the app.
